- In the Levantine dialect, there isn’t just one word that translates to “even though.” Instead, we have four different combinations of words that convey the same idea. In these two lessons, I covered these unique combinations.
- I start with the first 2 ways to say ‘even though’: ‘ma’ inno’ and ‘hatta walaw’.
- Then I teach two more ways to say ‘even though’ in Syrian Arabic: what’s the same and what’s different about these two phrases, when to use them and how to correctly construct sentences with them.
